Ryokan Hagakurekan
Hagakushi-kan is also known as an inn connected to Ashihei Hino who was born in Kitakyushu and was active as a popular writer in the Showa period. In fact, Ashihei Hino stayed in one room of the inn, and it is said that the masterpiece “Hanaogi” was written on the stage of Tsuetate Onsen. In addition, this is a traditional hot spring inn with the scent of the Showa era that is used as a location for Japanese movies. It is hard to climb up and down the wooden building on the fourth floor, but it is very tasteful. The tatami room around the old hearth also creates a unique atmosphere.
At Hagakushinkan, which has been crowded with visitors for a long time, we serve medicinal dishes based on Chinese medical and dietary origins. Many people may not be familiar with Yakuzen, but it mainly consists of easy-to-eat dishes based on Japanese cuisine. The Chinese herbal soup that comes with the main course is one of the famous dishes. The soup is made from eight kinds of natural medicines, and creates a source of health by eating it. The Yoro-kanten made with yamaimo and the sansai soba made with edible wild plants from the local mountains are also popular. Yokihi Pudding, one of Tsuetate Pudding, also has a medicinal flavor. Almond jelly with pine nuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruits, etc., makes your skin beautiful.
There are 3 price plans available depending on the course meal, from simple to satisfying. In both cases, customers are saying that they are very satisfied with the food which is more than the price.
