This inn that is managed by a couple is limited to 6 rooms a day. All rooms face the river and you can sit on a retro chair and enjoy the scenery of Tsuetate. In addition, the large round bath is tiled and nostalgic. You can feel as if you have slipped back in time to a foreign country.
It is not flashy, but the homey and relaxing atmosphere is popular not only with elderly customers but also with students. “High school students in training camps come to stay every year saying, ‘Aunt, here you are again!’. It’s like watching my grandchild grow, and it’s one of my pleasures.”. The friendly personality of the landlady, who always welcomes you warmly, soothes away the fatigue of travel.
The best feature of this inn is the dishes made with local ingredients. You can enjoy sweetfish dishes using local sweetfish caught by the owner, and Koi dishes, a specialty of Tsuetate. Today’s rare carp dishes are made with fresh carp that has been moved to the fish tank, so even those who are concerned about the characteristic smell of river fish can enjoy it.
